Dog Selfie Goes Viral:
Officer Andre Cloyd and his four-legged partner named Zigi are members of the Dallas Police Department’s K9 Unit. Recently, these two went viral because of their adorable selfie session while working at the airport. His selfie with his dog was captured by a woman who was watching them.
It was weekend when Officer Cloyd and Zigi were out on patrol at Love Field Airport. The officer decided to take a quick snap of him and his dog. Unknown to him, a traveler was also taking a series of photos of them while they were posing for selfies.
Gina Anzaldua saw how adorable the partners looked, so she decided to capture the moment and upload them on a Facebook group page. She also told the members of the group that it was as if the officer was showing each photo to the dog after he takes them. According to Gina, the sweet boy was not just a dog, but the officer’s partner.
Duo Photo Shared By Thousands:
The duo’s photo was shared thousands of times, and eventually, Officer Cloyd saw it too. He posted the pictures on his page and thanked everyone for the love that they showed to the two of them. The officer explained that he was taking selfies with Zigi because of his family’s message thread.
Officer Cloyd said that he is the only one in their family who lives in north Texas. Every day, they communicate through a phone call, video chat, or email. On that morning, his mother sent them her selfie while at work and wished them all a good day.
So, Officer Cloyd decided to take a photo when he gets to work too. After doing his rounds and checking that everything was okay, he decided to grab his phone and take a snap. The officer had no idea that someone was else was also taking their picture. He thought that it was cool that Gina shared that picture, and it came full circle back to him.
Because his family lives far away, Officer Cloyd considers Zigi and Bentley, his other dog, as his family. He even tells people that they are his two kids. Officer Cloyd takes pictures of them and also brings them to movies and the gym. According to the officer, who has been a certified dog lover since he was four, it’s his privilege to do something that he loves since he was a kid.
