Liona Jae fosters dogs all the time. Last year, she took in a special-needs dog named Tyrus. He meant so much to her, but sadly, their friendship didn’t last very long. Tyrus passed away and it left her devastated.
Tyrus’s passing hit Liona hard, but she knew she would meet that one very special dog that’s meant to be with her soon. She was pretty sure it will happen. And then, Teddy came not too long after.
When Liona saw Teddy for the very first time, she was in tears. He was just perfect for her, and she couldn’t get enough of his cuteness.
Teddy is a special-needs dog too, like Tyrus. He was born with spina bifida, which means he has to wear diapers for the rest of his life. But other than that, he’s incredible and great.
For the first few weeks, Teddy was so quiet that he didn’t even make any sound. It took him a month before he felt like himself. But once he did, he was unstoppable.
He made all these voices and had different characters, according to Liona. He’s cool, special, wild, and sleepy all the time. He always wanted to make himself heard.
Liona thought it would help Teddy move around if he had a wheelchair so she got him one. He was so excited to have his own wheels. He had challenges with it but his mom was always there to help him.
Teddy enjoys reading cards with his mom. He also likes to go outside on the balcony to watch people pass by and bark at them. But what he loves most is just to be beside her, wherever it may be.
His fearlessness is Liona’s favorite thing about Teddy. For her, he is heaven-sent. He’s a blessing, and she will do everything for him.
