With the declaration of community lockdown due to the novel coronavirus, dog lovers are stepping up to clear animal shelters of dogs. This is to make sure that all dogs inside the animal shelters are in safe places during the community quarantine. But even with this, some dogs are still in need of a hero.
Over the weekend, a Florida woman discovered a dog lying in her yard. The unnamed woman went near the dog, who was then tied to a tree by his leash. According to the woman, the brown and white pit bull seemed harmless, so she came near to see.
Next to Lincoln was a note written on a sheet of paper. When the woman opened the letter, she discovered that it came from the dog’s owner. The owner asked whoever sees the pooch to provide the dog with a temporary home. The reason for this is that the former owner had to move to California for his safety. The previous owner likewise apologized for his action of leaving the pooch. He added that he is sure that Lincoln will be in good hands.
The woman temporarily brought Lincoln inside her home. She then informed The Pittie Party of Central Florida (TPPCF) about Lincoln and what she discovered. Soon enough, volunteers from the animal shelter arrived at the woman’s home to get the dog.
One of the volunteers, Mayson Jones, eventually decided to foster the pooch indefinitely. Mayson understands that the dog needs a temporary home in time for the community quarantine, so she decided to make this wise decision.
When Lincoln arrived at Mayson’s house, the dog immediately adjusted. According to Mayson, the dog is not difficult to like because of Lincoln’s lively personality. Mayson got to know Lincoln better and discovered that the pooch loves to play balls.
