Emily and Corey were expecting a baby. Emily admitted that she and her husband were worried about how their dog, Brick, would take the newest addition to their little family because her dog destroys many things in their house.
Emily recalled that Brick destroyed the newly-bought baby walker when she went out for a quick 10-minute trip to the store. Brick dragged the walker’s box from upstairs, unboxed the entire thing, and ripped it to shreds while she was away.

Emily secured the walker in the nursery, but the dog managed to get his hands on it. Emily admitted that she did not know how to react when she got home and found her entire house in a complete disaster.
Emily noticed that Brick’s behavior was also strange because he was destroying everything he laid his eyes on and ensuring they are beyond repair. Fortunately, Brick’s destructive behavior immediately disappeared as soon as his newborn baby sister, Amiyah, arrived from the hospital.
Corey gently introduced Brick to Amiyah so that the dog would get used to her smell and presence. Brick immediately started sniffing Amiyah, and just knew that he was supposed to be gentle around her.
Corey shared that the only thing that changed aside from Brick’s destructive behavior disappearing was that he became more protective of Amiyah ever since her arrival. Emily said that Brick would even run into Amiyah’s nursery whenever she cries to check up on her.
Emily recalled that Brick would even watch her whenever she is bathing Amiyah, and even join in on the bath to make sure his baby sister is alright. Brick became obsessed with Amiyah and did not want to be away from her for a single moment.
Emily and Corey are relieved that Brick immediately accepted Amiyah as a member of their family. They are excited to see the extraordinary friendship that the two will have over the years.
