Humanity still exists! — And that’s what motivated a total stranger named Brian James of Cairo, New York to find a missing dog for ten days.
It just so happened that while Brian was browsing on Reddit, he saw a post about a missing Golden Retriever named Meadow. And without further ado, he started to look for the dog before the snow began to fall.
To find Meadow as quickly as possible, he decided to use his tools as a videographer, a drone, to locate the dog.
Before the search began, he spent almost 90 minutes finding the fur parents of Meadow. However, when he passed by the couple’s house to confirm that the dog was still missing, no one was home. Luckily, he got a confirmation from the neighbor instead. And that was his cue to continue the search.
He went to the roadside and parked. He prepared his drone and started to fly it over the thick woodland. After 15 minutes of searching, Brian noticed something familiar on the ground. Everything was brown and green full of trees, but in a particular area, it was not. When he lowered down his drone, he finally confirmed it — it was Meadow!
To get Meadow’s exact location, Brian pinned it on his GPS and started to make his way to the poor dog. Brian began to feel excitement as he got nearer and nearer to Meadow. And when the visual was clear, Meadow barked at him, wary of Brian’s intention.
After minutes of persuading the poor dog, it eventually went near him. They got to know each other, and Brian gave him some treats to lure him inside the car.
But how did Meadow reach that area?
Gary and Debbie from Ohio initially owned Meadow. The two decided to give Meadow to Carole and Bill to have some companion as they were now getting older. However, it seemed like Meadow wasn’t happy with the new set up that’s why when Carole and Bill were busy getting things in the car, Meadow ran away.
