It’s not easy to take care of senior dogs. Their health will decline significantly, and most owners see them as a burden. However, there are also owners who will never give up a senior dog because of the value they bring to the owner’s life.
The film team at SBS TV network went to a certain house. There’s an intriguing resident living in that area. His name is Kami, and he’s an eighteen-year-old dog. Dogs don’t usually live for that long, so that was unusual.
There’s an even more shocking revelation in that house. Kami’s mother is also still alive and is living in the same house. Her name is Yeppi, and she’s twenty years old.
If converted to human years, Yeppi would be 120, and Kami is 110. They are extremely old. Despite their age, they still look very young. The owners had Yeppi since 2001.
Yeppi is no longer enthusiastic about treats. Kami, on the other hand, can still perform tricks for some treats. The two dogs don’t have any special diet. Their meal consists of chicken and carrots.
The mother and son are big eaters. They finished their meals within a couple of seconds. Kami even goes to her mother’s food bowl for more after he is done with his. Yeppi doesn’t mind it because she cares about her son.
Yeppi and Kami love to sleep together. Yeppi never lets Kami sleep on the floor. The mother dog always makes sure her son is lying on the bed.
The owners made a visit to the vet to see if Yeppi and Kami are still healthy. The vet was surprised when he was told how old the dogs were. The vet saw no signs of major issues for Yeppi. Her eyes were fine, and her joints aren’t too damaged.
The veterinarian believes that longevity is related to their amazing psychological health. Yeppi and Kami’s stable health is a result of their unbreakable bond as family. The owners were glad to hear that.
