It’s stereotypical to think that dogs and cats are enemies. Another misconception is that Pit Bulls are not very friendly. This heart-warming story proves all of these wrong.
Meet Hades – a Pit Bull who is kind and gentle despite his terrifying name and breed. He takes after his human dad, Juan Jose P. Flores, who is also a compassionate person. The two of them live in Mexico.
Aside from Hades, Juan also took care of a stray cat who frequented their house. He used to leave her a bowl of food so she wouldn’t go hungry. Because of her constant visitations, Juan gave her a name, Nicol.
Cats don’t easily trust people, but Nicol made an exception to Juan because she was appreciative of his efforts.
Hades also didn’t bark at her and wasn’t jealous when his owner would spare her some food. This observation prompted her to trust the dog too.
One day, Juan hung out at home when he heard something knocking at the back door. He thought it was a person, but much to his surprise, it was Hades.
At that time, Juan could tell that Hades wanted to show him an important thing.
Hades led his owner to his dog house only to find out that Nicol inhabited it. He slowly approached the cat and learned that she was pregnant, hence the need for shelter. The kind-hearted Juan and Hades allowed her to stay there.
Before her labor, Hades served as a protector for the mother-to-be and didn’t leave her side. He even lent his blanket to Nicol to make her feel safe and comfy.
When she gave birth, it was a happy moment for them all. Nicol welcomed two adorable kittens whom Hades took a liking to.
For a couple of days, Juan and Hades took care of the newborns. Eventually, Juan would put them up for adoption, but he decided to adopt Nicol for himself.
Hades felt nothing but pure joy upon hearing this news. Since then, he and Nicol became best buddies, living together with their loving owner.
If you are kind to your pet and other animals, they will surely trust you and inherit the same kindness you show them, no matter what their breeds are.
