With a Golden Retriever’s intelligence and friendly personality, they have always been a perfect fit as guide dogs and therapy dogs. However, this Golden Retriever from New England is unlike any other canine her breed. You see, instead of being a homebody, this pooch is going on wild adventures with her adrenaline junkie fur parents.
When Ali Coletta met her now-husband, Nick, she thought that life was already perfect. After all, she now has someone to keep her company during her outdoor excursions. However, after a while, the couple realized that something was still missing in their lives: a puppy!
That was when they decided to welcome Stella, the Golden Retriever, into their family. Stella has been with the couple for four years now. And it is not surprising that she had adapted her fur parents’ love for the outdoors, as well.
Whenever the trio would be out and about, Stella would often be seen tailing her fur dad. Whether they were swimming or hiking, the four-year-old pooch would dutifully follow them every step of the way.
But what the Golden Retriever loves doing the most is playing out in the snow, especially when her fur dad is on the snowboard. She loves running back and forth across the half-pipe and doesn’t seem to be bothered by the freezing snow at all. In fact, she enjoys hanging out in their balcony whenever the temperature drops.
Her love for the cold became more apparent recently when the couple brought her to a quick ski trip just before the COVID-19 pandemic. On their last day in the resort, Ali and Nick hiked up the mountain with Stella in tow. Nick then rode his snowboard downhill, but they didn’t realize Stella would follow suit.
Before they knew it, the pooch was already following Nick through the snow like the daredevil pup that she is. Ali was so amused by her pup’s reaction that she recorded the moment and uploaded it on Stella’s Instagram.
Of course, it received plenty of love from her 2,000-strong followers. Watch Stella’s adorable snow run here.
