Dog Named Kobe:
The death of one of the greatest of all time, Kobe Bryant, took a toll on sports enthusiasts. Many people, including celebrities, have already paid tribute to a life that is well-lived by the phenom of the basketball world. But other celebrities took their tribute to the star to a whole new level. One of them is Jayson Tatum, a Boston a Celtics basketball player,named his puppy Kobe to pay tribute to Bryant.
It is no secret in the basketball world that Bryant’s team, Los Angeles Lakers, has a rivalry with Tatum’s team, the Boston Celtics. But while this may be the case, mutual respect among players abound outside the playing court. Tatum sure knows how to do this because even before he plays as a professional athlete, Bryant is already his idol.
According to Tatum, he never played a single game against Bryant. However, his respect for the late basketball player is immeasurable. Tatum mentioned that he looks up to Bryant both as an athlete and as a person. The Celtics star noted that even if he did not get a chance to play with the legend, Bryant would remain as his idol.
Tribute To Kobe:
As his tribute to one of his influences, Tatum named his new pooch as Kobe. The dog came to Tatum’s possession just recently, and he is happy to meet the French Bulldog finally. The death of Bryant is painful to everyone he came across in this lifetime. But to a young basketball player like Tatum, Bryant’s legacy will live on.
As he named his pooch to Kobe, Tatum said that he would always be reminded of the good things the legend had for the game. More so, Tatum believes naming his pooch to Kobe is his way of putting prime on Bryant’s legacy.
